As the world continues to deal with increasingly complex health issues, the growing need for compassionate health care professionals has intensified. If you are interested in pursuing the challenging but highly rewarding field of medicine, our MHS in Biomedical Sciences accelerated program will provide the academic preparation and skill development you need to succeed in medical school.
Enhance your academic record and solidify your “why” for medical school
In addition to our traditional biomedical sciences master's program, which takes between 1.5 to 2 years to complete, Quinnipiac offers this accelerated pre-med, non-thesis option for medical-track students, intentionally designed to enhance your knowledge of human health and disease mechanisms, as well as strengthen your preparations for the MCAT.
Coursework is focused on a comprehensive study of health and disease, which serves as the foundation of modern medical practices and health care research. Graduates gain the knowledge, skills and training to lead today’s rapidly changing health care industry.
Students will benefit from medically focused curricular experience with laboratory classes and independent research experiences taught in our state-of-the-art facilities, underscoring the reasoning and critical-thinking skills that are applicable to real-world health care situations and sought after by highly competitive medical schools. Our proximity to the Frank H. Netter School of Medicine provides an additional advantage, where past students have earned acceptance, through cross-listed MED courses students in our program can take as an elective.
You will graduate ready for the next step in your educational journey as you prepare to make valuable contributions to the evolving field of medicine while positively impacting the overall health and wellbeing of our communities.
